Heathrow Airport By Car

Make sure you know which of Heathrows four terminals you are flying from before setting out. Terminals 1, 2 & 3 are located in the centre of Heathrow and can be reached via the following motorways:

  • M4 Junction 4
  • M25 Junction 15
  • A4 (local road)

Terminal 4 is on the south side of Heathrow and can be reached via the following motorways:

  • M4 Junction 3
  • M25 Junction 14
  • A30 (local road)

Directions to Heathrow Parking Express T1,2,3
From the M4 Junction 4 follow signs for Heathrow Airport and then signs for Long Term Parking. You will find yourself on the Heathrow Perimeter Road where there are signs for Long Term Parking and Parking Express. On arrival at the car park take a ticket at the barrier and proceed to signposted area.

Directions to Heathrow Parking Express T4
From the M4 Junction 4 follow signs for Heathrow Airport and then signs for Long Term Parking. You will find yourself on the Heathrow Perimeter Road where there are signs for Long Term Parking and Parking Express. On arrival at the car park take a ticket at the barrier and proceed to signposted area.

Directions to Heathrow Pink Elephant Car Park
Leave the M4 at Junction 4 and follow signs for the airport. Turn left at the last exit before airport
tunnel signposted business parking. At the roundabout turn right and then turn right again at
the traffic lights, onto the Northern Perimeter Road. Follow signs to Pink Elephant Parking. On arrival at the car park take ticket at the barrier - and proceed to the signposted area.

Directions to Heathrow Q-Park Car Park
Leave M4 at Junction 3. Follow A312 towards Hounslow/Feltham. At the roundabout turn right onto A4 (Bath Road) towards Heathrow Terminals 1,2 and 3. Q-Park Flyaway can be found approx 1 mile down the A4 on your left, next to the Travel Inn. On arrival park in the arrivals bays outside reception and check in.

Directions to Heathrow Park 4 Less
Leave the M4 at Junction 5, take the A4, signposted to Colnbrook. At 1st set of lights, turn left into Sutton Lane. At 2nd set of lights turn right signposted West Drayton/Iver. At the mini roundabout turn left by Tower Arms Pub into Thorney Lane. After crossing the railway bridge take 1st right into Court Lane Trading Estate, go under the M25 bridge and turn left. Follow signs for Park 4 Less which is on the estate. On arrival at the car park, park outside the reception and check in. You will be required to hand in your keys.

Directions to Heathrow Purple Parking
Leave M4 at Junction 3 and follow A312 north, signposted to Hayes and Western International Market. After 500 yards at the first roundabout turn right by Tesco in the direction of Southall onto Hayes Road. Go past the Western International Market and after approximately 500 yards go straight over a mini r'about. The road bears to the left over a canal. Brent Road is the next turning on the left by the used car lot. Purple Parking is at the end of Brent Road after bearing right at the International Trading Estate.

 

Heathrow Airport By Underground

London Underground
Heathrow has two stations on London Underground's Piccadilly Line, one station for Terminals 1, 2 & 3 and one for Terminal 4.

Average journey time to central London is approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Tubes run every five minutes at peak times and every nine minutes at off-peak times and weekends:

  • The first train for central London leaves at 05.08 (05.57 on Sundays)
  • The last train leaves at 23.49 (23.30 on Sundays)
  • The first train from central London arrives at Terminal 4 at 06.29 (07.49 on Sundays)
  • The last train leaves at 01.07 (00.08 on Sundays)

It takes a further five minutes to reach Terminals 1, 2 & 3. These times are subject to change - it is advisable to check with London Transport before travelling. During the night, the N97 bus connects Heathrow with central London every 30 minutes.

Heathrow Airport By Coach

Frequent bus and coach services connect Heathrow with more than 500 local and national destinations across the UK. Most coach services operate from the central bus station, which can be reached by the subways linking Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The central bus station is well signed posted from all terminals and is located next to the London Underground station for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Please note that parking is not available at the central bus station. To drop off or pick up a passenger from the bus station please use short stay Car Park 2, located next to Terminal 2.

The travel centre at the central bus station provides full details of all services. An information directory board directs you to the appropriate stop.

Terminal 3 has an additional bus station by the arrivals forecourt.

Terminal 4 is served directly by several operators.

Heathrow Airport By Train

London Paddington to Heathrow in just 15 minutes. Heathrow Express

The Railair services provide a valuable link to and from rail services on the local and national rail network from Reading, Woking and Watford Junction.

Reading Railair
The Reading Railair connects the South West, the West Country, South Wales and the West Midlands to Heathrow. Express coaches operate from Reading Station daily and depart every 30 minutes. The journey to Heathrow takes approximately 45 minutes, with the coach serving each of the four terminals.

Woking Railair
A dedicated coach service provides a direct link from Woking rail station to Heathrow. Woking is an excellent connection, linking areas including Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Guildford, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester to the airport.

Watford Railair
A service operates between Watford Junction railway station and all terminals at Heathrow. The service, which operates in conjunction with Virgin Trains services from the north west, runs every hour from 05.30 to 23.30.

285 Service between Heathrow Airport and Feltham rail station
The Heathrow-Feltham Railair bus link, connecting Feltham rail station to Heathrow Airport, was recently replaced with the new enhanced 285 service.

The enhanced 285 provides 16 new vehicles on the route all with improved seating, on-board clocks, luggage space and CCTV. Service 285 serves Feltham rail station, operating every 10 minutes. The 285 serves the central bus station at Heathrow and terminates at Terminal 3.
